Tutorial overview

This tutorial covers upgrading the firmware in the motion control device using the upgrade utility included in IMS Terminal..

Before upgrading

• IMPORTANT! It is recommended that you review this procedure in its entirety
  before performing the upgrade.
• It is recommended that the most recent version of IMS Terminal Software
  be installed on your PC prior upgrading the fi rmware.
• Verify that the firmware in your Motion Control product is older than the current version by entering the print firmware version command:
  PR vr
  into your terminal window. The installed version will display.

What you need:

1. PC running a 32-bit version of Microsoft Windows
2. MDrivePlus, MForce or MDrive Hybrid Motion Control
3. MD-CC40X-001 USB to RS422/485 or equvalent communication converter cable
4. IMS Terminal installed.
5. The latest firmware release for MDrivePlus/MForce [download now] or MDrive Hybrid [download now] Motion Control.
